Terms and Conditions: Security Deposit

1. Security Deposit Collection:
– A security deposit is required at the beginning of the rental period. This deposit serves as financial assurance for the rental company and covers potential damages to the vehicle, traffic fines, Salik toll charges, and any other incidental expenses that may occur during the rental period.

2. Deposit Amount:
– The minimum security deposit starts from 1000 dirhams. The exact amount varies depending on the type and value of the vehicle and will be communicated to the customer at the time of booking.

3. Payment Methods:
– The security deposit can be blocked on a credit card.
– We also accept cash deposits.
– Bank transfers from accounts outside the United Arab Emirates are accepted. All transfer fees must be covered by the customer.

4. Usage of Deposit:
– The security deposit will be used to cover any damages to the vehicle, unpaid traffic fines, Salik toll charges, extra mileage, late return fees, or any other costs incurred during the rental period.

5. Refund Process:
– The security deposit will be refunded 30 days after the vehicle is returned and inspected for damages and any outstanding charges.
– The refund process may take up to 30 days to complete, depending on the bank’s processing times and the original method of payment.
– For bank transfers, any applicable currency conversion or transfer fees will be the responsibility of the customer.

6. Conditions for Forfeiture:
– The security deposit, or a portion thereof, may be withheld if the vehicle is returned with damages, if there are unpaid traffic fines, Salik toll charges, extra mileage, late return fees, or other applicable charges.
– An itemized statement detailing the deductions from the deposit will be provided to the customer.

7. Inspection and Notification:
– The vehicle will be inspected upon return. Customers will be notified of any issues that might result in deductions from the security deposit.
– Any disputes regarding the deductions must be raised within 10 days of receiving the itemized statement.

By proceeding with the rental, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the above terms and conditions regarding the security deposit.

For car rentals, the following amounts are collected from our valued customers:

  1. Rental Fee (Rent): This covers the cost of renting the vehicle.
  2. Delivery Fee: Applicable only for locations far from your vicinity.
  3. Deposit: A refundable deposit is required.
  4. Salik (Toll) Charges: These are related to highway tolls.
  5. Parking Fees: Any parking fees are the responsibility of the customer.


Deposit Rules:

  1. The deposit amount varies based on the type of vehicle, ranging from 1000 AED to 3000 AED.
  2. Deposits can be paid in cash (AED) in Dubai, Iranian Rials (IRR) in Iran, or by credit card. Note that if you pay in IRR in Iran, the deposit amount refunded will be exactly the same as the initial payment, regardless of the daily exchange rate between Rials and AED. However, in case of any violations, the penalty will be deducted from the deposit at the prevailing rate on the day of the violation.
  3. Deposit refunds are possible within 30 days from the date you return the vehicle, either in AED or IRR. The 30-day difference is due to delays in updating RTA and Dubai Police violations. Refunds before 30 days are not feasible.
  4. If any violations occur during the rental period, the deposit will only be used to cover post-rental violations.

Smoking Penalty:

  • Smoking incurs a fine of 1000 AED by Dubai Police and 500 AED by Drivex.

Fuel Policy:

  • Vehicles are delivered with a full tank, and customers are responsible for maintaining the initial fuel level.
  • Returning the vehicle with the initial fuel level is mandatory; failure to comply may result in additional charges.

Other Charges:

  • Each driving violation incurs a 50 AED administrative fee.
  • Salik toll charges are 6 AED per passage.
  • Car wash expenses are the responsibility of our esteemed customers. Please keep the interior clean.
